Future Reflections
Future Reflections is a magazine for parents and teachers of blind children. It is published quarterly by the American Action Fund for Blind Children and Adults in partnership with the National Organization of Parents of Blind Children. The magazine covers a wide scope of topics such as:
- Teaching blind infants to discover and explore their surroundings
- Issues in higher education such as access to Braille and recorded textbooks;
- Stories about successful blind adults who can serve as role models for blind children;
- A national network of parents who have shared similar experiences and who can provide information, support, and encouragement;
- Guidance for educators on planning education programs, teaching Braille in school, and keeping blind children competitive with sighted classmates.
Braille Spectator
The Braille Spectator is the leading publication of the National Federation of the Blind of Maryland. It offers information about programs and events held by the chapters and divisions of the NFBMD as well as information about state legislation and programs of interest to the blind. Readers will discover how blind Marylanders live the lives they want and turn their dreams into reality.
Braille Monitor
The Braille Monitor is the flagship publication of the National Federation of the Blind. Subscribers will learn about the ongoing events of the National Federation of the Blind as well as learn our positive philosophy on blindness. Readers will learn about current national issues and social concerns facing the blind in employment, education, legislation, technology, and rehabilitation. Most notably, this publication highlights how our members live independent, fulfilling lives.
