The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland is the Maryland state affiliate of the National Federation of the Blind. We are changing what it means to be blind in Maryland! Find a local chapter or division. The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.

The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland (NFBMD) is holding an online auction to raise funds for the John T. McCraw Scholarship Program.  This scholarship is awarded to blind and low vision Marylanders attending college or graduate programs.  This auction is open to all.  We will announce the winners at the NFBMD Crab Feast on September 19, 2025, but you do not have to be present to win.

To view and bid on auction items, please visit the

Dear NFB Members and Friends,

You may have heard that the NFB Greater Baltimore Chapter is staffing a water stop at this year's Baltimore Running Fest on October 18. This is the fourth year we are participating in this fun event. Those of us who helped out in 2022, 2023, and/or 2024 had a great time and the runners really appreciated that we were there to supply them with water and Gatorade.
