RESOLUTION 1978-06 fundraising efforts to support the treasury of the Maryland affiliate and the national treasury

 

WHEREAS the major accomplishments of the National Federation of the Blind have resulted primarily from efforts of the membership; and

WHEREAS the membership of the Maryland affiliate and of many other affiliates have demonstrated increasing levels of sophistication; and

WHEREAS the ever-increasing funding requirements of state affiliates and of the national organization should be met by fund raising efforts of the membership; and

WHEREAS several affiliates have demonstrated innovative

fund raising programs and have made significant contributions to the national treasury during the last several years: Now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the National Federation of the Blind of Maryland in Convention assembled on this 29th day of October 1978 in the City of Baltimore, Maryland that all chapters of the National Federation of the Blind of Maryland undertake greater fundraising efforts to support the treasury of the Maryland affiliate and the national treasury; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the officers of the National Federation of the Blind of Maryland work closely with each chapter in developing and conducting these fundraising efforts.
